It is very refreshing to see the use of ‘children’s voice’ particularly when we are considering their views on education and learning. It is also pleasing to see that children want ‘to learn about real things, things which matter ’ and ‘to break down barriers between subjects into real live topics.’ As many schools are now embarking on a more creative approach to the curriculum this is positive confirmation that we are moving in the right direction.

Personalised learning although some colleagues may groan at this term is something we all have to think within our teaching , children need to be engaged , motivated and enthralled in their learning – don’t we all find work easier, more enjoyable and easier to retain when its put forward as something exciting I know I do and its our passion, enthusiasm which brings children to be willing to be positive learners who want to be invloved in planning their learning – with hidden guidance of course!!
