Sainsbury’s get Active Kids talking

Supermarket Sainsbury’s has launched a free PSHE and Citizenship initiative for 7- to 14-year-olds, giving them the chance to make a difference to the future of the national Active Kids scheme.
Schools are invited to take part in one of the biggest youth consultations in Britain, helping to evaluate and devise ideas for the Active Kids scheme. The best ideas will win places at a national event where they will meet celebrities including Jamie Oliver and Dame Kelly Holmes. Entrants can also win up to 6000 Active Kids vouchers, School Councils UK toolkits and voting software worth £350.
Schools can submit their ideas online at www.get-talking.co.uk. Information, and toolkits for 7- to 11- and 11- to 14-year-olds to help plan the consultation, are available at. The 15 best entries from six different regions will be invited to attend a regional Active Conference in June, then delegates from each region will attend a national conference in September.
The closing date for entries is 23rd May.
