Pools for schools
8 Apr 2008

Hundreds of schoolchildren will be given the opportunity to learn to swim, thanks to a revolutionary new temporary swimming pool. The Pools for Schools project will start at South Chadderton School in Manchester and will then go on the road around Britain. The project, devised by Olympic Bronze medallist, Steve Barry, will aim to teach 4000 children to swim by the end of the year.
The project is also offering Learn to Swim providers the opportunity to improve their own skills, which includes education and training sessions for teachers.
